Contests are a fun way to participate in the events of the day and

to win prizes to add to your collections at home.

** IMPORTANT!!! **
Please bring your entry to the convention room
between 3pm - 6pm on Friday, October 23,
and hand it to one of the team members setting up the room.
Please have your entry set up as you would like it to be displayed so that

the team member can place it in the room accordingly.

1) CREATE AN ORIGINAL OFRENDA

Using the four elements of earth, wind, fire, and water, create a 1/12 scale ofrenda (altar) for Dawn and friends that uses traditional items & colors that focus on love and remembrance of loved ones. Frame of structure can be purchased plain but must be customized by you. Must be an original creation by attendee.

Limit one (1) entry per attendee.

2) TRADITIONAL HEADPIECE/CROWN/HAT FOR DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

Create a headpiece or crown for Dawn and friends to wear for Dias de los Muertos. Can be displayed on any original Dawn and friends doll, girls and/or boys. Base can be purchased plain but must be customized by you. Must be an original creation by attendee.

Limit one (1) entry per attendee.

3) TRADITIONAL DIA DE LOS MUERTES ATTIRE FOR LA CATRINA/EL CATRÍN DOLL

Create a customary outfit for Dawn and friends (male and/or female).

Display on Dawn doll of your choice. Show off your sewing skills! Can be hand or machine sewn, no glue. Must be original creation by attendee.

Limit one (1) entry per attendee.

4) OFRENDA BANNER

Create a Dias de los Muertos banner using traditional colors that is 1/12 scale for Dawn & friends. Must be original creation by attendee.

5) PONCHO PETE!

Create a Dia de los Muertes poncho for Dawn and friends using colors, detail, and theme of the celebrated day. Display on Pete, Gary, Ron, Van, Kevin, or Dawn doll of your choice. Must be original creation by attendee.

6) COSTUME CONTEST/PARADE

The theme for the parade is to have you and your choice of Dawn doll wearing the same outfit as Twins! There will be eight winning categories:
